[Official] HTC One S launching in Malaysia this Friday

HTC Malaysia have been teasing the release of the “next One” on their Twitter page and now they’ve released this picture on their Facebook page. Although it doesn’t say on the banner, it clearly is the HTC One S . HTC will be launching the device with roadshows all around Malaysia , starting with Pavilion KL on the 15-17 June, which is this Friday.

Many people have been holding on to the One X and waiting for the One S to launch as they both are similar save for the processor and screen size. Just to brush up on the specs , the One S has a 4.3 inch 960×540 qHD Super AMOLED display ( 256 ppi). It runs on Android 4.0 ICS with HTC’s controversial Sense 4 UI. It comes with an 8MP camera that can do 1080p video and runs on the Snapdragon S4 dual core processor clocked at 1.5Ghz . The One S boasts most of the features of the One X like its burst mode feature and simultaneous photo-and-video capture. The One S is also an engineering marvel , with its Micro-Arc Oxidation manufacturing process.

The specs on the One S make it a viable option for those not so keen on the One X’s large 4.7 inch display. Don’t worry on the processing side, as the S4 performance is on par if not better than the Tegra 3 , coupled that with better battery life , and you have a better option already.

So far only  U Mobile is offering the One S on contract , although we expect other carriers to join in. Keep it locked to CrackTech for more info in this “Onederful” phone.
